The inaugural San Joaquin Valley Canstruction® event was a success, bringing dozens of team members, hundreds of community members and thousands of pounds of canned food together to highlight after school activities and help feed hungry families throughout the community.
Together, we raised 25,327 pounds of food. 11 student and adult teams, 11 architect/engineer mentors, 40+ sponsors, 30+ volunteers and approximately 800 visitors made Canstruction San Joaquin Valley 2010a success.

About Canstruction®
Canstruction® is a design-build competition to fight hunger, coming to the San Joaquin Valley in October. Teams of students, employees, architects and engineers will join 166 participating cities around the nation building 10' by 10' sculptures made entirely out of canned foods.
